Apple WWDC returns to San Jose

For the second year, Apple will hold its 29th World Wide Developers Convention, or WWDC, in San Jose. Last year, the first time the event had been held in San Jose, thousands of attendees flocked to Downtown San Jose from Cupertino, California, and 75 other countries. The event not only provides an unmatched opportunity for learning, sharing and commerce for software developers, but is often the showcase for Apple’s latest hardware products.

The event is a great “get” for San Jose — last year, we estimate that it had an economic impact somewhere north of $9 million. WWDC will be at the McEnery Convention Center from June 4 to June 8. Visit Apple’s developer site for information and tickets.
