College Football Playoff 2019 comes to San Jose

San Jose is excited to be hosting the 2019 College Football Playoff (CFP) Championship Campus, January 24-7, 2019

To provide fan fun and a “homecoming weekend” leading into to the game on Monday, January 7, San Jose’s Championship Campus will open at noon on Friday, January 4, and will include nine venues in Downtown San Jose. Designed to be walkable from all Downtown’s hotels, the Campus stretches from SAP Arena to the Hammer Theatre Center and includes Plaza de Cesar Chavez, San Pedro Square Market, Discovery Meadow, and the Convention Center. Check online for details on venues and activities.

We are expecting between 100,000 to 150,000 fans in town to get ready to cheer their team on. The events will include three nights of free, outdoor concerts, Fan Central at the Convention Center, a fund-raising 5K run, activation of San Pedro Square and so much more. San Jose is proud to play host to the largest-ever group of visitors to our city, and to share with them what makes San Jose so special!

Three nights of free, top-talent, concerts kick off Friday, January 4  at Discovery Meadow, with performances by Alessia Cara and Brynn Elliott. The concert series, AT&T Playoff Playlist Live , continues Saturday (January 5) with Logic, Leon Bridges and Jay Rock. The final night, Sunday (January 6), features OneRepublic and Ellie Goulding. The concerts are free, so attendees are invited to come early to secure seats, and to use VTA’s light rail and busses if they are not within walking distance of Discovery Meadow.
