Many leading technology companies headquartered in Asia, Europe and other parts of the world have significant business operations in San Jose.  The City of San Jose actively welcomes global companies, investment and collaboration through our Sister Cities and other international partners.

Export Assistance

The U.S. Commercial Service of the Department of Commerce provides export assistance to companies seeking to sell products or services in the global marketplace. The Downtown San Jose office provides export counseling and market research, assistance with international trade shows, and works with U.S. embassies and consulates to arrange meetings with potential international business partners. International Business Partners

San Jose is home to business incubators, both private and those sponsored by national governments. These incubators serve as a landing point for foreign-owned firms seeking to access the U.S. market from a San Jose location. Examples include the U.S. Market Access Center and Silicon Valley Global Accelerator in Downtown San Jose, and the Hanhaiz Park in North San Jose.

 

Mineta San Jose International Airport/Port of Entry

Mineta San Jose International Airport is a federal Port of Entry as designated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which enhances the movement of cargo. San Jose is one of the nation’s top exporters. San Jose’s U.S. and international airlines operate non-stop air service to more than 29 cities across the U.S. and to international destinations, including Japan and Mexico. The San Jose and Silicon Valley business communities are actively seeking international flights to Europe and Asia.
