Prospect Silicon Valley symposium on energy and transportation
A record audience attended the annual 2019 ProspectSV innovation & impact Symposium to hear leading experts across California set out the latest thinking in the rapidly expanding world of clean energy, electric transportation, and zero net energy buildings.
The partnership between the City of San Jose and ProspectSV is driving new forms of collaboration and engagement with designers, entrepreneurs and think tanks not just in the city, but spreading into the Bay Area and across California.
In the presentations, Jared Blumenfeld, California’s newly appointed Secretary for Environmental Protection, set out California’s sustainability goal. and Kevin de Leon, former President of the California Senate, showcased California’s environmental leadership across the United States and internationally.
The attendees obtained first-hand insights into new ideas, directly engaged with product designers and met exciting new businesses. Projects as diverse as fast, smart charging, the widespread adoption of electric bus fleets and the zero net energy retail buildings were all introduced with expert panels and presentations.
Under Ruth Cox’s leadership at Prospect SV, the organization has acquired an exemplary reputation in the world of green tech. Sponsors included several regional Community Choice Energy programs, leaders in providing competitively priced, non-fossil-fuel-derived energy to businesses and residents.
