What We Love: Downtown is the perfect place to gather for the holidays and to easily find clever and unique gifts. You can walk and explore the murals, museums, and galleries, and of course, Christmas in the Park and Winter Wonderland. Big and small performing arts; downtown has it all! We love San José Downtown Association, whose website has the most complete and up to date list of businesses, events and activities to enjoy this holiday season.

Parking: Get 90 minutes of FREE parking in 5 City ParkSJ garages Downtown!

Shop Local Tips: Out for a shopping excursion? DTSJ has plenty of unique retail spots to suit your taste. This last year has seen two new MOMENT San Jose pop-up retail shops along Paseo de San Antonio and Post Street to go along with their existing spaces on San Pedro. Shop these spaces for artisanal crafts, custom keyboards, crystals, handmade jewelry, plants and more. If you’re in San Pedro Square, stop by The Source Zero and Ashy Aromas for more locally sourced items. Then have a little fun yourself exploring the museums while also getting some shopping done in their gift shops. The Tech Interactive, San José Museum of Art, and San José Museum of Quilts and Textiles all have great gift shops.  Complete your downtown shopping experience with visits to Velvet House, Spirit Brothers or Hammer & Lewis for fashionable, custom and distinctive clothing, or KALEID for one-of-a-kind gift ideas.

Kid Fun: Christmas in the Park, Winter Wonderland and Downtown Ice are annual holiday traditions perfect for the holidays. And of course, with any visit to Downtown San José you won't want to miss the Children’s Discovery Museum. Just a block away is Cafe Guzmania, the perfect place to pick up a sweet or savory empanada. Their Nutella Empanada is sure to delight the little chocolate lover in your life!

Celebrating as a Couple: Downtown is a great place for a night out. Take in a night of comedy at The Improv and have a nice small plate dinner at Petiscos Adega or take in a Broadway show and stroll to San Pedro Square for dinner and drinks.
